Using Tumbleweed and a Dell P2715Q monitor, I had the HDMI issue as reported by
the OP using the DA200 adapter even though it worked with Windows 10. Switching
to a comsol adapter fixed it
(http://www.comsol.com.au/Products-by-Category/USB-Type-C-Cables-Adapters/UC-HDUC-AD). 

Now I have crash using Displayport
