            Bug ID: 97642
           Summary: no display with kernel 4.7
           Product: DRI
           Version: XOrg git
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: medium
         Component: DRM/Intel
          Assignee: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: michael at stroeder.com
        QA Contact: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org

  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=126311&action=edit
dmesg output with drm.debug=0x0e

Originally this bug was filed openSUSE's bugzilla:
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=993996

Since upgrade to new kernel 4.7 in openSUSE Tumbleweed the display of my laptop
is not correctly initialized anymore (find attached the dmesg output with
drm.debug=0x0e).

Booting with "nomodeset" helps at least to work with the system but the correct
display resolution of 1400x1050 pixels cannot be used (blurry resolution).

It's pretty simple hardware which worked until kernel 4.6.4.
