I added some tracing to compton and confirmed that it is aware of the change in
screen size (ConfigureEvent received on the root window with the new size), and
calls glViewport with the new size.  I'm not sure where else to look for a bug
on the client side.

The xrender backend doesn't suffer from the same problem, only --backend glx.
