Please try the latest sources. I've just installed
xserver-xorg-video-intel-2.99.917+git20170309 on Ubuntu and all issues with sna
are gone. With old driver xserver-xorg-video-intel-2.99.917+git20160706 it was
impossible to work because of these artifacts and I had to switch to uxa
acceleration.
