I looks to me that the workaround:
  echo on | tee /sys/class/drm/card0-HDMI-A-1/status
works only for HDMI-A-1. I have tried to fake DP-1 and performance did not go
up. And in automated validation on our side someone faked HDMI-A-2 and
performance also did not go up. Maybe this will give some clue...
