Let me know if there have been any drm fixes which could address this issue,
specifically the probing/modevalidation of the 50 + 60Hz modes on the
projector; and if further testing is required on my part. It appears special
handling has been added for 23.976 & 24Hz which also need to be applied for the
regular monitor refresh rates for this to work.

Please don't let this issue die again now that it appears so close to being
resolved.
