I've tried both with and without guc i915.enable_guc_loading=1
i915.enable_guc_submission=1 kernel options.  Same result.

The only thing that I have been able to achieve some level of success with is
using AccelMethod uxa in xorg config.  That will more often allow OpenGL
programs to run with the intel driver without a GPU hang, but it has still
occasionally occurred.
