So I don't know what you're observing, but the original report is about a very
specific issue. The UP2715K display has two DP inputs to support 5k in a single
display [1]. From the driver perspective, at least currently, they are treated
as two separate displays, while the display may have stricter requirements
about e.g. PLL syncing. I would be rather hesitant to make conclusions about
tests done with two physically separate displays.
