I updated to drm-tip from yesterday (4.12.0-rc6) to get the CVE-2017-1000364
fix.  This version appears quite a bit worse than 4.11.0-rc8 drm-tip code
(April 24th), to the point of being unusable for work - screen blanks
frequently and within a few minutes of logging in (in limited testing).
