The patch is currently in review. It's a workaround, and it impacts all DP
sinks, not just the problematic ones. Thus, we need to be careful about merging
it, and extra careful about backporting it to stable kernels.

If we agree on the approach of the patch, I expect it would be included in
v4.11. I expect the release will be in about a month or so.
