            Bug ID: 101050
Summary: Intel NUC7i5BNH unable to play 1080 video without
                    choppy/jerky/stuttering
           Product: DRI
           Version: DRI git
          Hardware: x86 (IA32)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: DRM/Intel
          Assignee: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: paul.a.parenteau at intel.com
        QA Contact: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
                CC: intel-gfx-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
     i915 platform: KBL
     i915 features: display/HDMI

With a new NUC7i5BNH (intel HD640 gfx) I was unable to play even just 1080p
video well - it was choppy/jerky/stuttering. 4k video was far worse.

I switched from HDMI to Displayport (via Thunderbolt/USB-C connector) on the
NUC and immediately my video problems were solved. I can now play both HD & 4k
video.

The NUC is running Ubuntu 17.04 clean install.

Monitor is a Dell P2715Q which only supports HDMI 1.4 (4k at 24hz), thus I can't
see it being a HDMI 2.0 issue.
