I've just tested it with kernel 4.13 and the issue unfortunately is still
there.

I had already provided all of this info and Ville Syrjala already commented on
it, please check comment 1. Is there anything else you need to know to from me
to fix this issue?

That being said: Please just fix
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94921 instead of closing it without
listening to your customers and the other issue will solve itself.
