True Color 24bpp patch for Intel Graphics over DisplayPort

Oh my God...a single line was the root of my entire problem (and likely quite a
few others' problems) in the intel_dp.c file. Basically, 24-bpp True Color is
not accounted for over DisplayPort. The fix is detailed in full with a patch
for the current mainline kernel 4.17.11 attached in a separate bug report here:
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=200711

My display is blissfully usable on Linux again, without any nasty workarounds
and without undoing the (now reasonable) "automagical" color range detection.
Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction, Tom! I hope this fix
can be merged upstream shortly.
