i915 already provide the connector property that could be set per user need in
a atomic way. There is nothing special support for X. Wayland could implement
the support to toggle that option. We are not providing a connector property
throught sysfs. That is out of question. the broadcast range option is a
connector property and will stay as is. Option is Wayland to implement the
toggle support.

Even if Wayland could implement the support, why even should it be done this
way? What's wrong in doing it with sysfs, which would be available no matter
you are you Intel DDX / modesetting DDX (hey) / Wayland?

As if the laziness of Intel hasn't polluted the ecosystem enough.
