I tried to do the same test on my iGVT-g guest, but a multitude of problems
happened. It seems https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108488 hit the
guest while testing.

What happened while trying to watch a video using Opera was very unusual, I
think this is more related to the video bug than anything else:

It looked like each video frame generated a square of corruption until it
reached a point it stopped. But this video corruption did not come alone, a
WARNING appeared in dmesg: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/GdVjXxRsnW/

I'm not sure if these messages are more relevant on this bug report or
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108488.
