Linux 4.15.2 messages with `drm.debug=14`

On the Dell XPS 13 9360 with Ubuntu 17.10 Linux 4.15.2 (and I believe since
4.14 or 4.15), turning down the brightness to 0 with the function keys, the
brightness isn’t increased, when pressing the appropriate keys. Only suspending
the system by closing the lid, the brightness is put back to the lowest level.
