I have now attached the log file you requested from the 'functional' kernel
bootup.

I am sorry, but you are working with a bit of a newbie here.  You asked for the
same from the non-functional kernels, but because the system hangs when booting
those with the adapter attached (and a hard shutdown is required to regain
system control) I do not know how to get a dmesg log of that boot-up.

A bit of a walk-through of how to do it would be helpful.
