Hi, thank you for the dmesg. Reading from it, it seemed to me that the
connector override property is not even set at all (which should be since we
are injecting the EDID). The results is that it skips the fix in the first
place. 

Can you try this revision of the same patch? This patch exposes the connector
status. Please do:

echo 0x4 > /sys/module/drm/parameters/debug

Before running the kms_hdmi_inject 4k test and return the dmesg once again.
