Hi Jérôme,

This shouldn't be related to this alternate_mode discussion. Your mode should
be supported. I'm using myself SKL with DP on USB-typeC for about 1 year
already. 4k and full-hd resolutions.

Also, the modeset failing should never cause any reboot. This is strange. Could
you please describe a bit better this reboot that is happening?

Also probably better if you could point the time on the log that reboot is
happening.

Also, could you please upload updated version of xorg logs (xorg.0.log and
xrandr --verbose) since the new drm-tip logs and xrandr verbose doesn't match
on the DP port that you are using.

Also even better if you use latest drm-tip and updated xserver as well.
