Right, after clearing the confusion around the issue, this issue is simply
result of LTS kernel picking Cc: stable patch, but not picking patch with
Fixes: for it (which is the attached patch). I've instructed reporter to send a
request for inclusion to stable mailing list according to the LTS process.
