FYI I've just tested a more recent kernel, built at the
drm-intel-next-2018-02-21 tag (commit:
fed8165851e262575585b22055ff5dba7d91b0e5), I get the exact same behavior.

Anyone from Intel willing to investigate this issue? Just let me know which
inputs would be useful and I'll do my best to provide them in a timely manner.
