Hello everyone,

i have a ThinkPad T470s - using a KBL i7-7500U. Without the patch from comment

i had "broken" display output: mostly black, with a few colored pixels in a
rectangular pattern.

After applying the patch to 4.19.0-rc4 the display-output is working again.

I would argue that this patch should be included for 4.19, as it regresses from
previous releases.
