xrandr output for Lenovo D330 laptop screen
I've been following this bug as I have the exact device, Lenovo D330 with N5000
CPU and 1280x800 screen.

I'm currently able to run vanilla Arch (4.20.8) with an external monitor
without modeset and setting GRUB's gfxpayload. Still having the same problem as
the others, with no display on the laptop screen but with [controllable]
backlight. xrandr also is able to read the modes, please see attached file.
I've applied and tested the above patch. Unfortunately it doesn't fix the
problem. There is one instance though that arch's login prompt showed for a
brief moment before the screen blanking. This is with video=800x1280.
