kernel log after applying patch in comment 6

After applying the kernel patch mentioned in comment 6, the situation becomes
worse. Even running xrandr cannot detect the monitor plugged in.

The HDMI plug-in event is at timestamp 33.717977, and I ran xrandr at
41.087680.
