Changing existing tests has been considered as bad, since that can introduce
new issues into the CI bug-tracking system as regressions, whereas they would
be an issue always present, just not tested before.
So I don't feel easy about changing the existing tests, but I suppose you could
do it if:
- The change is simple like disabling the output only once before the subtest
for the whole duration and not adding more complexity like dynamic
enabling/disabling based on the connector state.
- You've discussed about the policy of changing existing tests with the CI
folks (your team?) and Ville, Daniel, they're the best to decide about this.
