One easy thing for you to check would be how does GPU frequency affect the
memory contention:

$ cd /sys/class/drm/card0
$ cat gt_RPn_freq_mhz > gt_min_freq_mhz
$ cat gt_RPn_freq_mhz > gt_max_freq_mhz
$ cat gt_RPn_freq_mhz > gt_boost_freq_mhz
