Yes, xrandr will report(until reboot, apparently) that link-status is Bad
(previously, was Good) as soon as this issue happens once in the current
session/boot.
and file contents of

change from:

I'm not sure what other side-effects these cause.

I haven't tried drmtip, but I'm running most recent kernel stable
5.1.15-gf0fae702de30 (released 40 hours ago)
If drmtip would've fixed it, I think they would've mentioned it here, no?
