--- Comment #3 from bugtracker at othram.com <bugtracker at othram.com> ---
Hello, and you're welcome. Thanks for taking the time to look into this. The
requested command outputs are included below my comments.

To answer your question, this has been ongoing since I installed Devuan, in
November. In fact while I was in the process of getting it all set up*, prior
to ever connecting to any network, it happened overnight. I remember engaging
the screensaver while I had a file copy job running in a screen session, and
when I awoke the next morning I found myself at the log in screen.

The problem seems to occur about once a week, to once every two weeks. I have
yet to discern a pattern other than it always happens after the screensaver has
kicked in. I should have taken action earlier, but other priorities kept coming
up.

But... I've had this system since August, 2018. After receiving it, I installed
Gentoo on it, which is what it operated on until November. I never experienced
problems of this type with that install. I actually have that system still
available because when I moved to Devuan I did so by swapping in a new HDD. I
have the Gentoo drive installed in an external USB housing and can boot back
into it if you think there will be any value in that.

Finally, this is probably un-important, but I promised to get the model of the
previous external monitor. It was an Asus VS? 247, where ? was either a G or an
X. If this information is important I can get additional details.

Regards,
Patrick

* I install and configure things like logcheck, tripwire, iptables, etc. prior
to going live. The problem first manifested itself during that process,
probably
about the second or third day of working on it. I chalked that one up to
something dumb that I had done because I wasn't monitoring system logs that
closely at that point.
