<div>
<pre>I have an HP elitebook 840 G2 laptop (with a docking station) installed with
debian 9.
Suspend was working fine with the stock intel video driver, both in the docking
station or outside.
But I had this problem when connecting to an external monitor:
<a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/debian/comments/3m6uet/laptop_screen_brightness_is_set_to_minimum_when/">https://www.reddit.com/r/debian/comments/3m6uet/laptop_screen_brightness_is_set_to_minimum_when/</a>
So I decided to update the drivers to 'testing' ones (v. 2.99.917), as
explained here:
<a href="https://www.slightfuture.com/how-to/debian-newer-intel-graphics">https://www.slightfuture.com/how-to/debian-newer-intel-graphics</a>
Now, the first problem is solved, but I got a second one: when I am in the
docking station, I cannot suspend the laptop anymore.</pre>
