<pre>Yes, the commit added WARN_ON() at probe, but forgot to clear it at exit.
And today's sound.git tree got the support of i915 binding for ILK and later
models. That's why you hit on all ILK+ machines (but some machines like ILK or
IVY should show a different stack trace).
But I wonder why you still get the warning with the latest fix. It works on my
several machines.
Could you give the simplest reproducer to trigger WARN_ON() even with the fix
patch?</pre>
