Is this a possibly related problem?
When trying to start the talos principle with Vulkan on my ivy bridge GPU here
the game fails and logs this error:
ERR: Cannot set requested display mode 1920x1080: GfxAPI error:
ERR: Vulkan error: Cannot obtain 'vkCmdCopyQueryPoolResults()' device function
and everything was usually fine.
But now (?) sometimes X crashes. The annoying thing is that it seems to crash
less and less the more debug info is in xf86-video-intel and yet even less when
X is run under gdb. After trying to start the talos principle many times I did
manage to reproduce it with full debug, so the xorg log is unfortunately a bit
larger:
