I didn't have a chance to pull any debug logs on that machine. My experience is basically the same as dnord - the screen flickering happens most often when the screen is being intermittently updated. It never happens if there's a continuous animation like a spinner or a video playing. It seems like it's most likely to happen shortly after something stops moving/changing onscreen - perhaps it's flickering when psr is activating?
