This bug seems to have conflated a number of issues, AFAICS. Here's the
original report:
(In reply to Mário Antunes from <a href="show_bug.cgi?id=93578#c0">comment #0</a>)
<span class="quote">> Dear all, I have a dell XPS 13 9350, with a external bus DA200. This adapter

Let's stick to the issue about Skylake USB-C display here. Everyone else, with
any other issues, please file new bugs. Thank you.
USB-C support, I'm afraid, is still a work-in-progress. There are patches on
the list, but nothing I'd encourage you to try on Skylake at this time. :(
<span class="quote">> The dmesg log points to drm intel drivers as the culprit:

This part is fixed (<a class="bz_bug_link
bz_status_CLOSED bz_closed"
title="CLOSED FIXED - [SKL APL] WARN_ON(!wm_changed) hit in the WM code with multiple pipes enabled"
href="show_bug.cgi?id=89055">bug 89055</a>) but should be of no significance to the USB-C
problems.</pre>
