New since 2016-05-23? the watermark error message went away, the flashing
black screen did not. I tried a later nightly and the problem got 10x (not
exaggerating) worse and more frequent. I notice that sometimes after it
flashes black, my monitor will report that the gpu is sending it an
unsupported/non-optimal refresh rate that isn't exactly the 60hz it expects. A
reboot (even a soft reboot) fixes it.
I'll try the current nightly again now but I suspect the watermark fixes you
are referring to have already been tested</pre>
