<pre>I have upgraded a Lenovo S540 from Fedora F23 (kernel-4.5.7-200.fc23.x86_64) to
F24 (kernel-4.6.3-300.fc24.x86_24) and the display started flickering at the
edges. The next kernel-4.8.0.0.rc1.git0.1.fc25.x86_64 flickered and produced a
loop, while the display changed the brightness. Touching the mouse stopped the
failure. Then it started again. Kernel-4.8.0.0.rc3.git0.1.fc25.x86_64 doesn't
flicker any more, but the ugly loop with the changing brightness is still there
during the boot process. When I turn off the computer the display turns into a
very bright white.
