<pre>We have the expect same issue, tried many different kernels. But never got it
work properly in Linux.
The "funny" thing is that after the split screen problem in linux. The line
that stays visible for a while, stays on the display whenever Windows is booted
afterwards too... But then slowly disappears.
Have you found any other solution besides using nomodeset?</pre>
