<pre>Yeah, that does help avoid the crash, the port->pdt comes as 0x0 which is equal
to DP_PEER_DEVICE_NONE.
The screen is still black after pushing the ON button but to get the display
back I force a modeset with CTRL+F1 and CTRL+7.</pre>
