Third experience: suspend-to-disk results, after resuming, in a typical pointer-on-black screen, but after a while the desktop lock screen is shown. However, it is locked relatively hard (cannot change to console), but it can be killed with Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, after which the system recovers.
