I've built a DRM-TIP kernel as of 2017-03-02, and with that version the DSI screen initializes properly!!!! No fastboot parameter is needed, and rotation with xrandr works properly for the first time ever. A huge thanks to Hans for making our Baytrail tablets usable as an actual tablet with linux.
