I install Ubuntu 17.4 and can reproduce corruption issue in AC/DC mode.
Xorg.0.log:
[ 21.309] (II) LoadModule: "modesetting"

[ 21.310] (II) Module modesetting: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
But, the issue in DC mode is gone after I add two config files.
