<pre>testrunner@hsw4:~$ uname -r
4.11.0-rc3-pstore+
testrunner@hsw4:~$ ls /sys/fs/pstore
dmesg-efi-151315300001001 dmesg-efi-151315300202001
testrunner@hsw4:~$ sudo rm /sys/fs/pstore/*
testrunner@hsw4:~$ ls /sys/fs/pstore
testrunner@hsw4:~$ sudo reboot
then it reboots to generic kernel, which of course doesn't have PSTORE_EFI_VARS
enabled:
testrunner@hsw4:~$ uname -r
4.10.0-19-generic
testrunner@hsw4:~$ sudo ls /sys/fs/pstore
then it was picked up by IGT on 3504
testrunner@hsw4:~$ uname -r
4.15.0-rc3-CI-CI_DRM_3504+
testrunner@hsw4:~$ sudo ls /sys/fs/pstore
testrunner@hsw4:~$
i.e. deleting with pstore kernel appear to work, so why didn't reboot to pstore
between runs before really clear out pstore?</pre>
