Before I used grub, now rEFInd to run kernels with initramfs.img and the result is the same. Then if I edit kernel parameters and add i915.modeset=0 to the same entry in grub or rEFInd there is no black screen and the system reaches the login prompt. Jim Turner, I checked both debian and archlinux configuration and could not find anything on fastboot. In particular debian's /etc/initramfs-tools/modules is empty. On the other hand archlinux does not have initramfs-tools.
