Today (April 17th) Dell updated BIOS to ver. 1.2.3. I have upgraded the BIOS
and now nomodeset is not needed anymore, nor the patch. It seems they fixed
BIOS. For information I attach dmesg. Note that i915_vbt is not changed in the
new BIOS.</pre>
