<pre>Same problem for me on Ubuntu 18.04. Signal lost when xorg is loading driver.
However I was able to get the signal back by running "xset s off -dpms", not
been able to reproduce that though. Messed around a bit with xrandr and
sometimes got signal back by lowering resolution and framerate but not
consistently.</pre>
