Ok, I am so far unable to reproduce this with the 4.17.0-rc5 kernel that the
drm-tip build instructions provide.
I've been running tests for the past 11 hours without a freeze (glxgears,
opening/closing images in loops, multiple hybrid suspend/resumes etc).
I will continue to test but so far it looks good.
Question: Does this mean that 4.17.0-rc5 kernels should also contain what's in
the drm-tip git as well? If I were to also use a Fedora29 / Rawhide kernel
like below it'd be the same as what I tested?
e.g.
<a href="http://download-ib01.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/development/rawhide/Everything/source/tree/Packages/k/kernel-4.17.0-0.rc5.git1.1.fc29.src.rpm">http://download-ib01.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/development/rawhide/Everything/source/tree/Packages/k/kernel-4.17.0-0.rc5.git1.1.fc29.src.rpm</a>
I had trouble getting my wireless drivers working with the drm-tip kernel,
probably because of the imported .config I took from the rawhide kernel RPM.</pre>
