<pre>Boot working kernel, run
$ make localmodconfig
accept any questions with the default choice, recompile & install. This should
give you a working kernel.
If not, copy the full config from your distro's latest kernel over to your
kernel src directory (file is called .config in the build) and use that as the
starting point.</pre>
