Lakshmi, it looks like this is something different, most likely those are multiple bugs. Problem is that I've already seen that this kind of behavior can be introduced from userspace( I mean DDX, X Server and/or desktop manager), which doesn't properly react to hotplug events and/or doesn't choose a correct modesetting. At least this was a case with fdo #106250.
