What kind of cable is used to connect the display?
Have you tried to verify this issue with latest drm-tip
(<a href="https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip">https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip</a>) ?
Can you attach dmesg from boot with kernel parameters drm.debug=0x1e
log_buf_len=4M. This will give more information about the issue.</pre>
