What does this print for each case after booting: $ grep -d skip "" /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/* > When booting with the option i915.fastboot=1 in command line, the screen > brightness of Acer V3-772G laptop cannot be adjusted. When fastboot option > is removed, the screen brightness can be adjusted without issues. What do you mean brightness can't be adjusted? Please be more elaborate. Please try the sysfs interface directly, 'echo X > /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness' where X is some number between 0 and max_brightness.
