Applied that on on top of today's drm-tip: it changes the behaviour somewhat,
but doesn't fix it. Now the display goes and stays blank when there are no
updates (instead of flashing continuously at 3Hz) - whenever there is an update
(e.g. moving the mouse) the display comes on again until the updates stop.</pre>
